About the Printing and Communications Entitlement

The printing and communications entitlement forms part of the office budget.

Senators and Members are provided with a printing and communications entitlement to:

The Parliamentary Entitlements Regulations 1997 (PE Regulations) specify how the printing and communications entitlement may be used by Senators and Members. When accessing the entitlement, Senators and Members are personally responsible for ensuring that the expenditure and use of their office budget on printing and communications is within the parameters of the entitlement.

The following restrictions apply to the printing of material and production of e-material under the printing and communications entitlement:

The printing and communications entitlement must not be used for the cost of commercial services for the placement or the production of television or radio content.

Senators and Members should also ensure they have sufficient funds in their office budget prior to proceeding with the printing of material or production of e-material.
