Changes to salary paid to MOP(S) Act employees at the EOA-01 or EOA-02 level will be made from 15 April 2021, covering pay cycles commencing 1 April 2021.
This is due to changes in the hourly rate of the underlying award, the Australian Government Industry Award 2016.
We have also identified periods over the past four years where the rate paid to employees at the EOA-01 and EOA-02 levels has been less than the Award.
We are auditing the pay of all EOA-01 and EOA-02 staff employed during the relevant periods over the past four years, including former employees. We have engaged KPMG to verify our proposed approach and to certify all payments to staff are correct. We expect this audit will be completed and back pay will be made to all affected staff by the end of the current financial year.
We will be contacting all affected staff directly.
We have self-reported this issue to the Fair Work Ombudsman and advised the Community and Public Sector Union and Australian Services Union.
