COVID-19 Update - 23 December 2020

As we draw to the end of 2020 and restrictions continue to change across the country, it is important to stay vigilant and remember what we can do to slow the spread of COVID-19. This includes:

  • maintaining good hygiene
  • adhering to physical distancing
  • wearing masks if required
  • isolating or quarantining where directed.

More information can be found on the Department of Health website.

It is important that you keep up to date with restrictions that apply to your state or territory, including for any interstate travel. Details of restrictions are available on the COVID-19 restriction checker and Australian Government website.

All Offices should have a COVIDSafe plan in place which should be reviewed regularly as restrictions continue to change. The National COVID-19 Coordination Commission Advisory Board has published an online tool to assist you with your COVIDSafe plan to keep your workplace safe.

COVID-19 has increased the levels of stress in people’s lives, particularly over the holiday period. If you require support for your mental health please contact the EAP, consider New Access Workplaces or refer to the MaPS website for mental health resources and the WHS Library.

Ministerial and Parliamentary Services would like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday period.
