Bargaining for the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-23

The Government has commenced bargaining for a new Enterprise Agreement to replace the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2016-2019, which nominally expires on 19 April 2020.

Bargaining is being conducted in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009 and the Government’s Workplace Bargaining Policy 2018.

Bargaining meetings

Bargaining meetings have been held on 15 November 2019, 22 November 2019 and 29 November 2019.

Government proposals

The Government has presented proposals to bargaining representatives to amend the current Enterprise Agreement.

Should you wish to nominate yourself or another person to be a bargaining representative at bargaining meetings:

Members of a union covered by the Enterprise Agreement (i.e. the CPSU and ASU) will be represented by their union, unless they nominate another bargaining representative.
