Staff who want to learn about diversity and inclusion in the workplace. You will understand how to make informed choices to include all people and make them feel supported, comfortable and safe in the work environment.
About this course
Inclusion is about creating a workplace where individuals can feel supported, comfortable and safe, and where diversity is accepted, celebrated and capitalised on. Building and embedding inclusion in workplaces involves an organisation-wide approach, where every individual has a role to play.
What you will learn
Throughout the day, you will:
- Develop skills and knowledge around inclusion in general
- Understand different diversity dimensions (gender, age, disability, LGBTIQ, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander)
- Learn cultural diversity

All MOP(S) Act employees
Courses offered as part of the Professional Development Program (PDP), under the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2016-2019, are provided free of charge.
This course will be available from February 2020.
