Who is the course for?
Any staff who assist constituents, supervisors and Chief of Staff who support employees suffering from domestic and family violence and would like to learn how to respond and help them seek support.
About this course
Domestic violence is not just a personal issue. It can affect employees’ wellbeing and performance at work due to the extreme stress experienced in these relationships. Absences resulting from injuries and presentism due to psychological abuse are among the potential consequences.
What you will learn
This session educates participants about domestic violence, and more specifically, highlight how to be more aware of the characteristics, signs and symptoms of unhealthy relationships and domestic violence.

This course is delivered via webinar and can be accessed through the MOP(S) Employee PDP channel on GoTo. A copy of the presentation is below, and a few handouts mentioned during the session.
This course is offered as part of the Professional Development Program (PDP), under the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2016-2019.
