The Commonwealth may provide you with an office or offices within your electorate (electorate office), as determined by the Minister, for the conduct of your parliamentary business. Your electorate office/s must not be used for any commercial purpose.
- Senator – one electorate office within your electorate
- Member of the House of Representatives representing an electoral division of less than 25,000km2 – one electorate office within your electorate
- Member of the House of Representatives representing an electoral division between 25,000km2 and 350,000km2 – a maximum of 2 electorate offices within your electorate
- Member of the House of Representatives representing an electoral division larger than 350,000km2 - a maximum of 3 electorate offices within your electorate.
- Parliamentary secretary – additional office space in your (first) electorate office, where possible
For a member of the House of Representatives – The electorate office/s must be located within your electorate.
For a senator - The electorate office may be located within the Commonwealth Parliament Offices (CPO) in the State or Territory capital where you reside, or elsewhere within the State or Territory that you represent. CPO suites are allocated by Ministerial and Parliamentary Services and are subject to the availability.
For a senator, one electorate office within your State or Territory, as determined by the Minister, may be provided for the conduct your parliamentary business. The office must not be used for any commercial purpose.
For a member of the House of Representatives whose electorate is less than 25,000km2, one electorate office within your electorate, as determined by the Minister, may be provided for the conduct of your parliamentary business. The office must not be used for any commercial purpose.
For a member of the House of Representatives whose electorate is less than 25,000km2, one electorate office within your electorate, as determined by the Minister, may be provided for the conduct of your parliamentary business. The office must not be used for any commercial purpose.
For a member of the House of Representatives whose electorate is between 25,000km2 and 350,000km2, a maximum of two electorate offices within your electorate, as determined by the Minister, may be provided for the conduct of your parliamentary business. The office/s must not be used for any commercial purpose.

For a Parliamentary Secretary, additional electorate office space in your (first) electorate office, where possible and as determined by the Minister, may be provided to accommodate the additional staff allocated to assist with your official duties. The office must not be used for any commercial purpose.
