The current situation may be causing some anxiety or concerns. Along with the Employee Assistance Program and the dedicated Parliamentary Support Line, 1800 APH SPT (1800 274 778) – both available 24/7 – there a number of services and tools available from other organisations.
The Government’s digital mental health portal, Head to Health is a single source of authoritative information and guidance on how to maintain good mental health during the coronavirus pandemic and in self-isolation, how to support children and loved ones, and how to access further mental health services and care.
NewAccess workplaces is an evidence-based mental health coaching service available to all MOP(S) Act employees. The service was developed by Beyond Blue in partnership with Comcare. Find out more on the NewAccess workplaces page on the MaPS website.
Beyond Blue has also established a dedicated coronavirus wellbeing website and support line to help people experiencing concern due to a coronavirus diagnosis, or experiencing stress or anxiety due to employment changes, business closure, financial difficulties, family pressures or other challenges. There is a page with some tips for taking care of yourself that you may find helpful, or to recommend to family, colleagues or constituents.
