From 4 July 2022 depending on your access authority, you will be able to access new and improved features in the Parliamentary Expenses Management System (PEMS) to complete office and travel claims, and access budget reports.
As part of these changes, you will be able to access the new and improved PEMS features from anywhere – at any time – using any device.
Will I be affected?
To facilitate these changes, it is necessary to take PEMS offline from
1900 (AEST) Monday 27 June until 0900 (AEST) Monday 4 July 2022.
What do I need to do?
It is important you plan ahead for the changes and ensure your claims are submitted on time.
Please finalise all new and existing claims in PEMS before 1900 (AEST) on Friday 24 June 2022. This will ensure adequate processing time before the system downtime, otherwise you may need to re-submit claims in PEMS after 0900 (AEST) Monday 4 July 2022. You will still be able to submit manual forms during the outage.
Claims for the financial year ending Thursday 30 June 2022 can still be processed from Monday 4 July 2022.
If you are in a deferral period, you will not be able to submit PEMS claims to your Parliamentarian for certification and should use manual forms to submit a new claim.
Where can I find out more?
Awareness sessions are now available. Head to the PEMS information page to learn more about the new features and for regular updates, training and support information.
