National Day of Mourning - public holiday pay arrangements
Thursday, 22 September 2022 has been announced as a one-off public holiday for the National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Casual employees, who have an existing approved employment agreement signed before 22 September 2022 and were previously scheduled to work on this day, will need to confirm they will still be working by the pay cut off date of 18 September 2022. Otherwise they will not be paid for this day.
All ongoing and non-ongoing employees will continue to be paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of employment under the Commonwealth Members of Parliament (Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2020-23, and their regular work pattern. Any employee that has personal or annual leave processed for 22 September 2022 will be re-credited the leave.
