Cultural Awareness Training - CATonline Level 1
You are invited to complete a two hour nationally-accredited online training program designed to give you a better understanding of Indigenous Australians in your workplace, social environments and the community in which you live and work.
Cultural Awareness Training is suitable for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians and for people living and working anywhere within Australia. Whether you are delivering services specifically to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, working with Indigenous colleagues, working with the general public or you just want to increase your understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people you live with, this course is of benefit to you.
This course consists of 12 professionally produced video modules. It is a self-paced, video based training course that you can access anytime that suits you.
Upon successful completion of the CATonline Level 1 training, participants will have completed the theory elements required for competency in Developing Work Practices to Accommodate Cultural Identity.
Influencing behaviour for a safe workplace
This full-day course will assist participants to recognise early signs and symptoms of inappropriate workplace conduct. The course will help identify early intervention strategies through the risk management process and discuss the issue resolution procedures available to MOP(S) Act employees.
Participants will also gain an understanding of their responsibilities under the WHS Act, and will learn how they can keep their office safer for everyone.
Influencing behaviour for a safe workplace will be delivered by Comcare, and representatives from the Department of Finance will be present to answer questions about specific services and arrangements for MOP(S) Act employees.
IPEA Education Session
The Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority (IPEA) is holding Information Sessions in Sydney, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Darwin and Canberra.
Mental Health for MOP(S) Act employees
This course will look inwards at workplace mental health and wellbeing and outwards to support MOP(S) Act employees in their interactions with constituents and other clients with mental health issues.
MOP(S) Act Employment – Office Management
You are invited to attend an introductory three hour information session designed for employees who are undertaking an office management role.
The session will provide an opportunity to discuss your office management role with a Ministerial and Parliamentary Services Advice and Support Director.

You are invited to attend an information session that will provide an opportunity to discuss your employment conditions with a Ministerial and Parliamentary Services Advice and Support Director.
MOP(S) Act Employment – Terms and Conditions is a three hour information session covering the terms and conditions of MOP(S) Act employment.
