As a part of the Professional Development Program (PDP), MaPS has a wide range of education, training and resources available to all MOP(S) Act employees. The PDP is designed to enhance and develop your  skills and knowledge. You should discuss your learning and development needs with your employing parliamentarian as part of performance and career discussions.

If an office engages volunteers who would like to access education and training under the PDP, please contact the MOP(S) Education Team to discuss your options.

The full PDP course catalogue and dates for availability is available through MOP(S) Learning.

All ongoing and non-ongoing MOP(S) Act employees have default access to MOP(S) Learning. You can reset your password online through the MOP(S) Learning log in page.

For assistance logging in to MOP(S) Learning see the MOP(S) Learning user log in guide (see related resources – Tools and resources).

Our offerings are delivered through:

  • Live learning (face to screen)
  • Live learning (face to face) (upon request)
  • online as e-learning packages
  • Resources (e.g. articles, podcasts)

Education and training are categorised across five areas of focus:

  1. Working in a parliamentary environment
  2. Leadership
  3. Working effectively with constituents
  4. Safe and respectful workplaces (includes mental health and wellbeing)
  5. Professional development

The MOP(S) Education Team is also happy to consult with offices on their training needs to assist in finding quality, fit for purpose solutions.
