MaPS provides an annual flu vaccination program for all Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 (MOP(S) Act) employees. Participation in the flu vaccination program is optional and the decision to be vaccinated rests with each employee.
MOP(S) Act employees can access a flu vaccination under this program by reimbursement for the cost of the vaccine administered by a medical practitioner or health professional.
Please note, whilst this will not provide immunity against coronavirus, vaccination against respiratory illnesses is highly recommended to protect your health. For further information about the COVID-19 vaccine, please see COVID-19 Vaccination.
For Parliament House, Canberra
The Department of Parliamentary Services has provided separate information in relation to vaccinations at Parliament House.
Reimbursement
MaPS will reimburse the cost of the flu vaccine, up to $25.00, which is the indicative retail price of the vaccine.
MOP(S) Act employees seeking reimbursement must:
- complete a Flu Vaccination Program Consent Form
- scan and email the signed form and a receipt clearly indicating the cost of the vaccine to MOPSWHS@finance.gov.au.
