Payroll and Helpdesk update: early payroll cut-off due to public holiday on Monday, 5 October 2026

  • Who is affected: Parliamentarians and MOP(S) Act staff. 
  • Advice: Please note the following changes due to the Labour Day public holiday:
    • The payroll cut-off date for payday 8 October 2026 is Thursday 24 September 2026.
    • The MaPS Helpdesk will be unavailable on Monday 5 October 2026 and will resume normal operating hours at 9:00am (AEDT) the following day. 
    • Queries submitted on the public holiday will be addressed the next business day. 
  • Do I need to do anything?: Please ensure all required payroll documentation is submitted before the cut-off date.
