Entitlements for long service leave are set out in the Enterprise Agreement and leave and public holidays guideline (see related resources).
MOP(S) Act employees with ten years of qualifying service can apply for long service leave.
Discuss your leave arrangements with your employing parliamentarian prior to applying.
Each period of absence on long service leave must be a minimum of 7 consecutive days. MOP(S) Act staff are also prohibited from engaging in other employment during long service leave without the express permission of their employing parliamentarian.
