Classification Review of MOP(S) Act employees – survey now open

Last updated
11 May 2026

The survey of electorate office employees to support the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act Classification Review is now open. The survey will run between 20 May to 10 June 2026 and will provide critical insights into employee roles, duties and perceptions of the current classification structure as outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2024-27. These insights will enable MaPS to make informed decisions which reflect the needs of employees and the expectations of Government and Australians.

This survey is an important step in ensuring the MOP(S) classification framework is transparent, equitable and fit for purpose. It will support the unique and demanding roles performed by MOP(S) employees and help ensure the classification system accurately reflects the complexity and value of your work.
