About MaPS

Ministerial and Parliamentary Service (MaPS) enables Ministers, parliamentarians and their staff to serve Australia effectively through responsive and accountable services that uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency and public value.

Commonwealth Parliament Offices (MaPS state and territory offices)

Commonwealth Parliament Offices (CPOs) provide advice and assistance to electorate offices on accommodation, equipment, private-plated vehicles, as well as manage the facilities available to parliamentarians within the CPO.

Administration responsibilities

Support for parliamentarians and MOP(S) Act employees is available through MaPS, IPEA, Department of Parliamentary Services, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and others.

Pre-claim assessments

MaPS can provide advice on proposed non-travel related claims under the PBR Act to ensure you meet your obligations.

Referendum

All parliamentarians and relevant Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 (MOP(S) Act) employees are encouraged to become familiar with their responsibilities and conditions that apply to their use of Commonwealth provided or funded offices, directing electorate employees, the use of other public resources and claiming expenses for referendum-related activities.
