Spouse or de facto partner of Parliamentary Retirement Travel Entitlement holder The Parliamentary Retirement Travel Act 2002 provides that the spouse or de facto partner of a retired former Prime Minister is entitled to domestic return trips, subject to a nomination being made in writing specifying the start day from which the spouse or de facto partner is to be eligible for domestic return trips.
* Note: The start day may be earlier than the day the nomination is made but must not be earlier than the day on which the spouse or de facto partner became the spouse or de facto partner of the person.
