MaPS encourages learning and professional development for all MOP(S) Act employees with the support of your employing parliamentarian. A range of learning options are available including:
- Education, training and resources – MOPS Learning (MOP(S) tailored Professional Development Program)
- Ad hoc training requests
- Studies assistance (financial and study leave)
- WHS roles
Training provided through home departments
If you are a personal employee of a Minister, Assistant Minister or Presiding Officer and the home department provides training related to the portfolio, the home department will in most cases cover all costs associated with this training. This includes meeting the cost for all ad hoc training. In all other instances for personal employees, MaPS will consider requests for reimbursements.
