Excess (Canberra) Travel Leave

Excess (Canberra) Travel Leave

For eligible travel undertaken from 20 July 2025, Excess Canberra Travel Leave (ECTL) will be automatically credited based on employee travel claims. In these circumstances, this form will generally no longer be required. This form will remain available to allow employees to submit outstanding ECTL claims in limited circumstances, including:

  • for eligible travel undertaken during the 47th Parliament (i.e. travel occurring prior to 20 July 2025); and
  • where an employee is ceasing MOP(S) Act employment before the next ECTL crediting period and is required to submit eligible travel information prior to cessation to enable the correct processing of final monies.

Mode of submission

  • Complete the form and submit.
  • The Employer or Authorised Officer will receive an email to be approved and forwarded to MaPS for processing.
  • You will receive a copy for your records.
