WHS duties

All parliamentarians and MOP(S) Act employees have duties under Commonwealth WHS legislation. There are four nominated WHS roles within each parliamentarian’s Commonwealth-funded office. These roles assist parliamentarians, MOP(S) Act employees and Finance to meet their duties under the WHS Act.

WHS committee

The WHS committee facilitates consultation between Finance, parliamentarians, and MOP(S) Act employees. The committee works together on a broad range of work health and safety issues, including developing work health and safety policies.

Nominated WHS roles

There are four nominated work health and safety roles within each parliamentarian’s Commonwealth-funded office. These roles assist parliamentarians, MOP(S) Act employees and Finance to meet their duties under the WHS Act.
