Professional Development Program

Designed to enhance and develop skills and knowledge, the PWSS provides free training and resources to parliamentarians and MOP(S) Act employees through the Professional Development Program (PDP).

Training and resources provided under the PDP are categorised across five capability areas of focus in-line with the Learning and Development Framework for MOP(S) Act employees:

  1. Working in the parliamentary environment
  2. Leadership
  3. Working effectively with constituents
  4. Safe and respectful workplaces (including mental health and wellbeing)
  5. Professional development

Staff can access training through a range of methods including, live learning experiences delivered virtually or face-to-face, as well as self-paced options through e-learning and resources (e.g. tools, templates, articles, books, podcasts, and videos).
