NewAccess workplaces is an evidence-based mental health coaching service available to all MOP(S) Act employees. This service was developed by Beyond Blue in partnership with Comcare.

NewAccess workplaces can help you manage a wide range of work and life pressures, including:

  • work stress or uncertainty
  • change in work and living arrangements
  • financial worries or instability
  • isolation or loneliness
  • family problems.

How it works

NewAccess workplaces is a free and confidential service that can be accessed without a GP referral or mental health treatment plan. Neither PWSS nor your employing parliamentarian receive any identifying information about employees who undertake the service.

The coaching sessions are delivered by specially trained coaches through telephone or videoconferencing. A coach will help you work through a tailored individual plan, in addition to self-help tools to support your ongoing progress.

NewAccess workplaces includes up to six mental health coaching sessions across consecutive weeks:

  • an initial 45 to 60 minute assessment
  • up to five 30 minute mental health coaching sessions.

You will also have two follow-up sessions at one month and six months.
